Anna, Sheila and Clare Friel are traditional musicians born in Glasgow with their family roots firmly entrenched in the Donegal Gaeltacht (Derrynamansher). Being siblings, they achieve a close blend on fiddle, flute and uilleann pipes interspersed with songs sang in unison, many from their family and local repertoire. Since the launch of their debut album, they have performed in various venues and festivals across Europe, America and Asia and have appeared as guests on stage or toured with acts such as Altan, The Chieftains, Lúnasa, Sharon Shannon, and many more. Awards too numerous to mention.
Emily and MaryKathleen are sisters in family and music. From an early age, their bond with each other and their love of music brought life to all around them. Years of consistent training and performing have refined their skills and passion for making music together. With Emily on the flute, and “MaryKate” on the harp, the two combined bring all listeners to experience the beauty and serenity of Emerald Wind. They have released their First Album so check them out!
